Despite getting up three times, 12:30, 3 a.m. and 6:30 am the meteor showers escaped my vision without a trace. Clouds in the Algarve are an unfamiliar sight but last night they were in full force. Booooo.
Mea ate a whole bag of almonds (the second in three week) while I was out last night and she didn’t have an allergic reaction which I guess means that after having consumed so many she is now immune :) This is good.
Thanksgiving is coming up and many people are coming over for dinner to celebrate gratitude. My oven isn’t big enough for a turkey plus it’s the type of oven that is either on (burn territory) or v. low, nearly off (completely useless). So it will have to be something else. There is a general strike next Wednesday which means the entire country comes to a half. It’s the first in 22 years brought on by two unions who are not happy about the austerity measures the government are putting into place.
